Yesterday I had the day off so I figured I would install my RPSport subframe braces. I was a bit weary about how well they would work and I can honestly say that I am very surprised. The change is noticeable immediately, just driving down the street I could feel that the rear end was planted better.

That took all of 10 minutes so I was bored so I figured I would see how lucky I would be if I were to try and remove my sound deadening with a hammer and a huge flat head. Turns out I got pretty lucky. Next I have to work on getting all of the little chunks of tar that is still in there but I'll work on that when I get it ready for paint.

RT Tuning

So Keegan, Fin and I went down to R/T Tuning yesterday to get Keegan's car re-aligned. Last time he took the coupe down, they aligned his car perfectly, but over time the coilover loosened the collar and walked itself up throwing the alignment off and added stress to everything and in turn killed his wheel bearing. Car drove like complete shit, but now it's all good. When we were there there was a Mazda 3 getting dyno tuned. I never found out the numbers it put down, but to give you an idea, it was running 23lbs of boost.

R/T is a pretty awesome shop. Lot's of cool, smart dudes down there. Hit them up if you need anything in the area. They'll take care of you.

Installed HIDDDDDDDs today. Also wired up the foggzzzz. I need to clean my lense. :/

Oh, and Keegan's car almost caught on fire. Sweet, eh? The Summer Fun cup was bouncing around in the trunk and helped two power leads make sweet sweet whoopie causing a fuse to blow. We were out snow drifting and his running lights shut off. We figured it was the fuse. It was, however, the power leads stayed together. What happened? It melted the fuse... Reconnecting the stuff inside so it started burning through the rear chassis harness in a quickness. What a day.

Fucking Florida, eh? Yeah, the moist, shitty, salty air of Florida kills wires. My injector harnesses were no exception. What's the solution? Brand new OEM parts! I ordered the injector harness kit from Courtesy Nissan (such a great place. I have over $300 worth of stuff through them) and I also ordered new o-rings. Well we replaced all the injector harnesses... And alas... Still is running on 3 cylinders. Why? Injector #3 is deaaaaad. Luckily I have the whole spare motor set I got from Tom months back. Time to soak the injectors from that set in Seafoam for a while and throw them on. Should be up and running wednesday. Oh, and I'm going up to Nico's (4lughero) place in Jersey tonight to pick up his old Momo. Ballin interior finally.

The blizzard of 2010 struck. Keegan and I called off work and sat around and did nothing except dig the cars out of all of the snow.

So after everyone else on the east coast got snow, we finally got some. So of course Keegan and I had to go out. Sadly, my car wasn't running, so no tandems, but his car was running in full force, like always. We hit up the local elementary school at around 10, we even had the janitors come out and watch us for about 5 minutes, haha. At that point we created too many tracks and because Keegan has old fluid in his diff, it didn't want to lock. 2 ways don't like getting traction sometimes. We went back out at about 12:30 and stayed out until 2.

It was another boring week up here in Lancaster. Too much work, not enough fun. Car isn't running. The harness ripped right off of injector #2, which would explain it running like shit. Ordered a couple of parts such as HIDs, seat rails, new o-rings and injector harnesses... And something bigger. Pics when they arrive. For now, enjoy this.

Hopefully someone will buy Sekia Hills and open it back up. :(

More garbage weather fun

Despite the garbage weather we've had lately, Tom and Joel still came down to chill. Of course Keegan came up after work. We headed out to Sonic for some food... My car is running garbage, the #4 injector harness is corroded to all hell, so I'll be ordering new ones from Courtesy this week. Anyway, pictures of course.

It's cold. I have no motivation to work on my car when its cold. winter sucks, so much. anyway, a new look is coming for my car hopefully here in a couple weeks, so we'll see what the future holds.
